Presidential Decree Removes Aden Governor Ahmed Hamid Lamlas, Refers Him for Investigation; Abdulrahman Sheikh al-Yafai Appointed as Successor

Aden -- A presidential decree was issued in Yemen today relieving Ahmed Hamid Lamlas, Minister of State and Governor of Aden, from his position and referring him for investigation.
According to the decree, Abdulrahman Sheikh Abdulrahman al-Yafai has been appointed as Minister of State and Governor of Aden, succeeding Lamlas.
Official sources stated that the decision is part of government measures aimed at strengthening administrative performance and ensuring accountability, noting that competent authorities will initiate investigative procedures against the former governor in accordance with applicable laws.
