Yemen : Al-Bahsani Rejects Council Decision, Calls It Constitutionally and Politically Void

Abu Dhabi -- Major General Faraj al-Bahsani, former member of the Presidential Leadership Council, has firmly rejected the Council’s decision to revoke his membership, describing it as “null and void constitutionally, legally, and politically.”
Al-Bahsani stressed that the move undermines the spirit of national consensus upon which the Council was established, warning that such a trajectory risks stripping the body of its consensual character and turning it into a tool of political exclusion.
He emphasized that these measures threaten national unity and erode public confidence in legitimate institutions, urging respect for the constitution and existing laws, and the preservation of political balance that ensures the participation of all national forces in managing the current stage.
