Mukalla – Shipping operations at Mukalla Port, the largest seaport in eastern Yemen, resumed on Friday after a temporary halt caused by Saudi airstrikes earlier this week.

Maritime sources confirmed that the port has reopened to receive commercial vessels and cargo ships following urgent repair work to damaged infrastructure.

Technical teams restored key berths and equipment to ensure the continuation of import and export activities.

Mukalla Port is considered a vital economic lifeline for Hadramout and Yemen’s eastern regions, providing essential food supplies and goods to local communities. Observers warn that any prolonged disruption of port operations could further exacerbate the country’s humanitarian crisis.
