Aden — Southern Transitional Council (STC) President Aidarous Al-Zubaidi called on national forces in northern Yemen to unify their ranks and prepare for what he described as the decisive battle to liberate the north from Houthi control.

He affirmed the readiness of Southern Armed Forces to play an active role in the anticipated confrontation.

Al-Zubaidi’s remarks came amid growing concerns over Houthi military escalation. According to reports cited by the German News Agency (DPA), Yemeni sources confirmed that the Houthis have increasingly directed their drone and missile capabilities of varying ranges toward southern provinces.

The sources revealed that the militias are planning further missile strikes targeting the south’s strategic interests and vital infrastructure, similar to previous attacks on ports in Hadramout and Shabwa, as well as Aden International Airport.

They added that Houthi forces have recently carried out extensive military engineering operations along southern frontlines, signaling preparations for intensified conflict.

The developments follow the announcement by government forces aligned with the STC of a new military operation against both Houthi militias and extremist organizations.
