Mubadala Begins Al Maryah Island Waterfront Redevelopment

Mubadala Investment Company has officially commenced work on the transformation of the Al Maryah Island Waterfront in Abu Dhabi.
The ceremonial groundbreaking was led by Waleed Al Mokarrab Al Muhairi, Mubadala’s Deputy Group CEO, and Dr Bakheet Al Katheeri, CEO of UAE Investments. Together, they marked the start of the project, which aims to redefine the island’s lifestyle, leisure, and entertainment offerings.
Speaking at the event, Dr Bakheet Al Katheeri highlighted the broader vision behind the project.
“The Al Maryah Waterfront enhancement project is a strategic investment in the future of Al Maryah Island,” he said. “This project will deliver iconic elements that elevate the quality of life and offer a diverse experience for visitors, while reinforcing the island’s position as a premier lifestyle destination.”
