Yemen : Mass Demonstrations in Aden Reaffirm Popular Mandate for STC

Aden -- The interim capital Aden witnessed massive demonstrations today as tens of thousands of southerners gathered at Al-‘Urudh Square in response to a call by the Southern Transitional Council (STC) to join the rally titled “The Million March of Steadfastness and Popular Escalation”.
Crowds waved southern flags and chanted slogans reaffirming the popular mandate granted to the STC, while strongly rejecting the recent decisions of Yemen’s Presidential Council, which they described as unfair to the South and contrary to the aspirations of its people.
Participants stressed that the rally sends a clear message to the world: the people of the South are determined to exercise their right to self-determination and stand united behind their leadership in facing current challenges.
They emphasized that the popular mandate for the STC reflects a broad collective will, underscoring that the South will not accept any measures or decisions that undermine its rights or obstruct its path toward achieving national aspirations.
