Paris – French President Emmanuel Macron met today with Lebanese President Joseph Aoun, followed by a phone conversation with President Ahmad Al-Shar’a, as part of France’s ongoing diplomatic efforts to support regional stability and political progress in Lebanon.

The discussions focused on the formation of the upcoming Lebanese government, with President Macron stressing the importance of it being inclusive and representative of all Lebanese factions, in order to restore both domestic trust and international backing.

The talks also covered the continued fight against terrorism and extremism, as well as enhancing joint coordination to address regional security challenges.

At the conclusion of both meetings, President Macron expressed his wishes for peace, stability, and national unity in Lebanon, reaffirming France’s commitment to supporting efforts toward a comprehensive and lasting political transition.
