Tel Aviv -- According to local Israeli outlets, U.S. envoy Steve Witkoff is pushing to move to the second phase of the Israel Gaza ceasefire plan leaving Israeli officials concerned that Hamas will remain in power even after disarmament was a key condition of phase one. 

Just days ahead of Prime Minister Netanyahu's scheduled meeting with US President Trump in Miami, a high ranking Israeli source told Israel's Channel 13 that special envoy Steve Witkoff has informed mediators that Gaza's second phase will begin in January just a few days.
