PSG coach Luis Enrique needs surgery after cycling accident

His passion for cycling is well known. Now Luis Enrique, coach of Champions League winners Paris Saint-Germain, has to go under the knife because of it.

PSG coach Luis Enrique has suffered a broken collarbone after a fall on his bike. 

As the Champions League winners Paris Saint-Germain announced via X, the 55-year-old Spaniard was initially treated by the emergency services. He will have to undergo an operation, PSG explained. 

According to the French newspaper "Le Parisien", Luis Enrique, whose great passion for road cycling is well known, crashed in Spain.

À la suite d’une chute à vélo survenue ce vendredi, l'entraîneur du Paris Saint-Germain, Luis Enrique, a été pris en charge par les secours et va subir une opération pour une fracture de la clavicule.

It is not yet known exactly how the accident occurred. PSG expressed their full support for the former Spanish national coach and ex-professional and wished him a speedy recovery. PSG's next match is against RC Lens in the French championship on September 14. So far, Luis Enrique's side have celebrated three wins in three games.
