Ibb – Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) announced on Monday that it has ended its emergency medical response to acute watery diarrhea cases in Al-Qaidah city, located in Dhi al-Sufal district of Ibb province, under Houthi control.

In a press statement, the organization said it had ceased its specialized medical activities after nearly nine months of service, noting that the intervention had significantly reduced the number of cases.

MSF explained that the suspension follows more than eight months of providing care to patients, during which the emergency response helped contain the disease and supported local health services at a time when the area witnessed a sharp increase in cases.

The organization emphasized that while the emergency phase has concluded, it remains committed to monitoring health needs in Yemen and supporting efforts to strengthen medical services in vulnerable communities.
