Mukalla -- The Preparatory Committee of the “Steadfastness and Popular  Escalation” rally in Hadramout, in a speech delivered by National Assembly member Mr. Awad Jameel, reaffirmed that the southern struggle continues with determination and resilience, through peaceful popular escalation, until the people of the South achieve their goal of restoring their fully sovereign federal state. Jameel stressed that threats and intimidation attempts will not deter Hadramout’s people from pursuing their legitimate struggle.

The committee called on all segments of Hadrami society to condemn attempts to circumvent the popular will and to reject any committees or entities claiming to represent Hadramout in the upcoming Southern Dialogue Conference scheduled to be held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. It emphasized that such groups do not represent Hadramout’s people nor reflect their true aspirations.

The committee also urged Saudi Arabia to reject any lists or proposals submitted by the local authorities that do not express the genuine will of Hadramout’s society. It reiterated its firm rejection of the so-called “Emergency Forces” and any other security forces stationed in Hadramout. Furthermore, it condemned violations committed by these forces and rejected any attempts to turn Hadramout into a substitute homeland for those fleeing the oppression of Houthi militias or those collaborating with them.
