Khartoum — The Sudanese Founding Coalition (Ta’sis) on Sunday accused the Sudanese army and allied groups of deliberately targeting the United Nations headquarters in Kadugli, the capital of South Kordofan State.

In a statement, the coalition described the incident as “a new terrorist act” carried out by the army, underscoring what it called a pattern of escalating attacks against international and humanitarian institutions. The group alleged that the strike endangered UN personnel and undermined efforts to provide aid and protection to civilians in conflict-affected areas.

The accusation comes amid intensifying clashes across Sudan, where the army and rival factions have been locked in a protracted struggle for control. The targeting of UN facilities, if confirmed, would mark a serious escalation, raising concerns about the safety of international staff and the continuity of humanitarian operations in the region.

The United Nations has not yet issued an official response to the coalition’s claims.
