Five ISIS members killed in US strikes in Syria

At least five members of the Islamic State (ISIS) were killed in Syria's Deir Ezzor in the latest US strikes, including the head of a cell responsible for drones, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said on Saturday.

Meanwhile, Syrian security sources told AFP that US forces hit several provinces in the country, adding that "the bombardment was intense" and lasted for several hours.

The strikes came as a response to last weekend's attacks on US troops in Syria that killed two soldiers and an interpreter, US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth said.
