Washington warns of "political Islam infiltration" as a threat to Europe's nuclear program

Washington -- U.S. Vice President JD Vance has warned of a scenario he considers "not unlikely," in which European nuclear powers, such as France or the United Kingdom, could come under the influence of leaders "close to political Islam" within the next 15 years.
In an interview with the British news website, UnHerd, Vance expressed his belief that this catastrophic scenario "is not unlikely" over the next decade and a half.
He added: "We have much stronger cultural, religious, and economic ties with Europe than anywhere else in the world.
That’s just the way it is. So I believe we will have certain ethical discussions with Europe that we might not have, for example, with the Democratic Republic of Congo, because of this sense of shared history and cultural values."
