Hollywood-style Kidnapping of a Woman in Morocco

On Friday, social media users in Morocco circulated a video they claimed showed a "Hollywood-style" kidnapping of a woman in the city of Sidi Bennour, in the center of the country.
In the video, which was captured by a surveillance camera, the woman was forced by another woman into a white car that was parked on the street.
In the wake of the incident, the judicial police opened an investigation to uncover the details of the kidnapping and identify the perpetrators.
Moroccan media reported that the kidnapping took place on Thursday. The woman, who had recently sold her house, was released after being kidnapped by unknown individuals intending to rob her.
The woman explained that she was kidnapped for an hour during which the kidnappers interrogated her about the whereabouts of the money from the house sale, before releasing her after she told them she had deposited the money in the bank.
