Disciplinary Actions by the Clubs Association Against Al Ahly

The Egyptian Clubs Association has announced the penalties imposed on Al Ahly after its refusal to participate in the summit match against Zamalek last Tuesday in the first round of the decisive phase of the Premier League.

Al Ahly insisted on postponing the match against Zamalek and demanded that it be officiated by foreign referees, threatening to withdraw from the league.

The decisions regarding the Al Ahly vs. Zamalek match are as follows:

1- The match result is confirmed, with Zamalek declared the winner by 3-0, in accordance with Article (4.17) of the competition regulations.

2- A deduction of three points from Al Ahly, in addition to the points related to the match in which they were considered defeated (the points from the Zamalek match).

3- Al Ahly will bear all losses resulting from the loss of income from commercial contracts, broadcasting rights, and all other expenses related to participating in the competition matches prior to withdrawal, based on a demand from the rights holders, in accordance with Article (8.17) of the competition regulations.
