1 Day Left to Pay Phone Import Fees or Face Disconnection in Egypt

The clock is ticking! One day left before blocking some mobile phones, according to The National Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (NTRA) reminder users to pay their mobile fees especially who exported outside Egypt before April 7, 2025.

What Happens If You Don’t Pay?

If you don’t pay in a day your phone will be blocked away!, or to avoid having their device deactivated on all mobile networks operating in the country.

Egypt customer’s authority applies a 38.8% fee on imported phones, if the fees isn’t paid within 90 days of the device being used in Egypt, your phone service will cut off.

This regulation is part of Egypt’s Mobile Device Management (MDM) system introduced last year, a broader effort to enforce tax collection and reduce illegal imports.
