Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez have been in wedding planning mode for nearly two years.

In May 2023, the Amazon founder got down on one knee and proposed to the Emmy-winning journalist during a summer vacation in Europe. She told Vogue in December 2023 that she “blacked out a bit” when he showed her the 30-carat engagement ring.

Though the couple have been hush-hush about the details, the former TV anchor said during a November 2024 appearance on Today that she was approaching wedding planning as most people do.

“I have to say, I do have a Pinterest,” Sánchez joked. “I'm just like every other bride.”

However, their closest loved ones have predicted that the celebration will be anything but a regular wedding. "I think it's gonna be like a Princess Di thing," Sánchez’s older brother, Paul Sánchez, told TMZ in March 2025. "It's gonna be an amazing event. It's gonna be star-studded and fun."

Bezos and Sánchez are expected to say "I do" sometime in June 2025. However, specific details of their wedding celebrations have remained under wraps.

 "We don't have any details yet, like exactly where it's gonna be or anything like that," Sánchez's brother Paul told TMZ. "I'm thrilled beyond belief," he added.

Sánchez and Bezos are reportedly tying the knot in Venice, Italy. After the billionaire denied rumors that they were hosting a $600 million winter wedding in Aspen, Colo., Venice Mayor Luigi Brugnaro confirmed that the couple would be hosting their nuptials in the historic Italian city.

"The many speculations and fake news circulating about Jeff Bezos' wedding are completely unfounded,” the mayor wrote in a statement obtained by PEOPLE, adding that only 200 guests will be invited and that the event wouldn’t disrupt the city.

“We are mutually working and supporting the organizers, to ensure that the event will be absolutely respectful of the fragility and uniqueness of the city,” the statement continued.

Though the couple haven't confirmed the exact venue, previous reports claimed that the wedding would be held on Bezos' $500 million yacht named Koru.
