FIFA Women’s World Cup 2027™ Oceania Qualifiers Draw Sets Stage for Regional Showdown

The Oceania Football Confederation (OFC) has officially conducted the draw for Round Two of the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2027™ Oceania Qualifiers, setting the stage for a competitive journey toward Brazil.
Eight teams were drawn into two groups of four, with matches scheduled during the FIFA international window from February 24 to March 7, 2026. The draw, held in Auckland and streamed live on OFC platforms, featured regional football icons and a special message from FIFA Chief Women’s Football Officer Sarai Bareman.
Group A includes:
- New Zealand 🇳🇿
- Samoa 🇼🇸
- Solomon Islands 🇸🇧
- Winner of Round One (Tonga, Tahiti, Cook Islands, or American Samoa)
Group B features:
- Papua New Guinea 🇵🇬
- Fiji
- Vanuatu 🇻🇺
- New Caledonia 🇳🇨
Round Two matches will be hosted in Solomon Islands (Group A) and Fiji (Group B), with each team playing three group-stage fixtures.
The top two teams from each group will advance to Round Three, which includes semi-finals and a final to be held in New Zealand from April 7–18, 2026.
The winner of the final will earn direct qualification to the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2027™ in Brazil, while the runner-up will have a second chance via the FIFA Intercontinental Playoff Tournament.
OFC President Johanna Wood praised the draw as a “celebration of women’s football in the Pacific,” emphasizing the growing competitiveness across the region.
“This is more than a qualification pathway—it’s a showcase of talent, resilience, and regional pride,” she said.
With rising teams like Vanuatu and Solomon Islands showing strong momentum, and New Zealand aiming to reclaim dominance, the qualifiers promise high-stakes drama and historic moments on the road to Brazil.
