Egyptian FM: Yemen’s Stability Key to Regional ,Red Sea Security

CAIRO — Egypt’s Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty has declared that the stability of Yemen is an essential element for achieving regional security and safeguarding the Red Sea.

Speaking during recent diplomatic meetings, Abdelatty emphasized Cairo’s firm support for Yemen’s unity, territorial integrity, and institutional independence.

He noted that Yemen’s security directly impacts the wider Arab region and maritime safety in the Red Sea, a vital international trade route.

The minister reaffirmed Egypt’s backing of efforts to reach a comprehensive political solution to the Yemeni crisis, stressing that only stability can ensure the protection of regional interests and international navigation.

Abdelatty’s remarks come amid heightened concerns over maritime threats and regional instability, underscoring Egypt’s strategic view that Yemen’s future is inseparable from the security of the Red Sea basin.
