NewYork -- The United Nations Security Council has urged all parties in Yemen to de-escalate tensions and intensify diplomatic efforts to end the conflict, reaffirming its strong support for Yemen’s unity, sovereignty, independence, and territorial integrity.

In a statement issued following its session, Council members condemned the serious violations committed by Houthi militias against UN personnel and humanitarian workers, stressing that such actions constitute a blatant breach of international law.

The Council called for the immediate and unconditional release of detained UN staff, underscoring the need to respect human rights and ensure the safety of humanitarian workers as part of broader efforts to advance a comprehensive political solution to the Yemeni crisis.
