EU Reaffirms Commitment to Yemen’s Unity, Urges De-escalation

Brussels -- The European Union has reaffirmed its unwavering commitment to Yemen’s unity, sovereignty, and independence, expressing support for the Presidential Leadership Council and the Yemeni government in their efforts to restore stability.

The EU called on all parties and regional actors to de-escalate tensions and strengthen diplomatic efforts to end the ongoing crisis.

The EU also endorsed the latest UN Security Council statement on Yemen and voiced its full support for the UN Special Envoy’s efforts to achieve a comprehensive and sustainable peace.

Furthermore, the EU welcomed the new Muscat Agreement on the release of detainees, describing it as a positive step toward building trust among Yemeni parties and advancing prospects for a political solution.
