The Arab League, the Muslim World League, and several Arab and Islamic countries have called for an immediate halt to military escalation in Yemen, urging support for the legitimate leadership to safeguard the country’s unity and stability.

Arab League Secretary-General Ahmed Aboul Gheit, on Thursday evening, urged all Yemeni parties particularly the Southern Transitional Council to de-escalate tensions and preserve Yemen’s unity.

He stressed that prioritizing the higher interests of the Yemeni people is essential to overcoming the crisis.

In a statement posted on the platform “X,” Aboul Gheit warned that recent developments in Hadramout and Al-Mahra provinces further complicate the Yemeni crisis and undermine the principle of national unity.

Qatar expressed support for Saudi and Emirati efforts in Yemen, while Kuwait called for a constructive political environment based on dialogue.

Bahrain issued a similar statement emphasizing dialogue, and the UAE praised Saudi Arabia’s role in supporting Yemen.

Egypt reaffirmed its support for Yemen’s unity and sovereignty, while Oman closely monitored the situation and urged avoidance of escalation.
