Yemen's STC Reports Loss of Contact with Delegation in Riyadh

Aden -- The Southern Transitional Council (STC) in Yemen announced on Wednesday that it had lost contact with its delegation sent to Riyadh for political talks, urging Saudi authorities to ensure the safety of its members.
The announcement came after a night of Saudi airstrikes on Yemen. In an official statement, the STC called for "an immediate halt to aerial bombardment and guarantees for the safety of its delegation currently in Riyadh."
STC spokesperson Anwar al-Tamimi told Agence France-Presse that communication was cut off with the separatist delegation, which departed Aden late Tuesday heading to the Saudi capital.
He stressed the need for Saudi authorities to act swiftly to secure the delegation’s safety.
