Three Soldiers Killed in Bomb Attack on Military Vehicle in Yemen’s Shabwa Province

Shabwa-- Three soldiers were killed and four others wounded two of them critically on Wednesday when an improvised explosive device targeted a military supply vehicle in Shabwa province, eastern Yemen.
A local government source in Shabwa told Xinhua News Agency that the explosion occurred near the provincial capital Ataq, hitting a vehicle assigned to military logistics as it traveled along the main road linking Ataq with Bayhan district in western Shabwa.
The source confirmed that the blast caused severe damage to the vehicle, noting that investigations are underway to identify those responsible for the attack.
Meanwhile, Shabwa witnessed the movement of dozens of military vehicles belonging to the government’s “Shield of the Nation” forces, which passed through the province en route to the interim capital Aden after departing from al-Abr area in Hadramout province.
Hussein al-Rifai, Director of Information in Shabwa’s local authority, told Xinhua that these forces had recently regained control of Hadramout province from the Southern Transitional Council and are continuing their deployment toward Aden.
