Yemen.. al-Subaihi and al-Khanbashi appointed to Presidential Council after dismissal of al-Zubaidi and al-Bahsani

Riyadh – The Yemeni Presidential Leadership Council has announced the appointment of Mahmoud al-Subaihi and Salem Ahmed Saeed al-Khanbashi as new members of the council, following the removal of Aidarous al-Zubaidi and Faraj Salmeen al-Bahsani.
While the council described the move as part of an “internal restructuring,” Yemeni political sources labeled the decisions illegitimate, Saying they were driven by Saudi authorities and the Yemeni government based in Riyadh. According to these sources, such influence undermines the legitimacy of any resolution under what they called “Saudi dominance.”
The reshuffle has sparked heated debate within Yemen’s political circles. Observers argue that the changes may deepen divisions among Yemeni factions, while others see them as an attempt to realign the council with regional agendas.
