Dubai — Dubai International Airport (DXB), the world’s busiest hub for international travel, has recorded a staggering 93.8 million passengers over the past 12 months, according to official figures released by airport authorities.

The milestone marks a significant rebound in global air travel and reaffirms Dubai’s position as a leading aviation gateway connecting Asia, Europe, Africa, and the Americas. The surge in passenger traffic reflects strong demand across both business and leisure sectors, bolstered by Dubai’s strategic location and world-class infrastructure.

Paul Griffiths, CEO of Dubai Airports, hailed the achievement as a “testament to the resilience of the aviation sector and the confidence travelers place in Dubai as a global transit hub.”

The airport’s busiest routes included London, Riyadh, Mumbai, and Cairo, with notable growth in traffic from emerging markets in Africa and Southeast Asia. Officials also credited streamlined immigration procedures, expanded airline partnerships, and major events such as Expo 2025 for driving the increase.

Dubai International continues to invest in smart technologies and passenger experience enhancements, aiming to surpass the 100 million passenger mark in the coming year.
