Aden-UNHCR praised the efforts of the UAE Red Crescent in Yemen, revealing plans and projects that will be implemented in cooperation with the UAERC during the current year 2019. This came during the meeting of Sultan Al Shamsi, representative of the Red Crescent in Aden, and Ms. Jacqueline Breiflin, Director of the Office of the UNHCR in Aden, where the two sides discussed aspects of cooperation and coordination in a number of humanitarian projects in Yemen. The United Arab Emirates has been ranked first in the world as the largest donor of emergency humanitarian assistance to the Yemeni people in 2018. According to the Financial Monitoring Service (FMS) for documenting humanitarian assistance in the United Nations, which also referred to the UAE Ranked second after Saudi Arabia as the largest donor to support the UN's humanitarian plan for Yemen in 2018.
