Palestinian Islamic Jihad claims responsibility for Lebanon border crossing

The armed wing of Palestinian Islamic Jihad has claimed responsibility for an operation in southern Lebanon in which militants crossed the border into Israel.
The move was part of the operation “Al Aqsa Flood”, Al Quds Brigades said in a statement posted on Telegram.
It said it injured seven Israeli soldiers.
Israel said it killed "a number of militants" who crossed the border into the north of the country, where residents have been advised to shelter in place.
Beirut has advised people to avoid border areas as locals flee Israeli air strikes and gunfire.
