Those sentenced to death are Mohamad Badie, Mahmoud Ezzat, Mohamad El-Beltagy, Amr Zaki, Osama Yassin, Safwat Hegazy, Assem Abdel Majed, and Mohamad Abdel Maqsoud.

The court also sentenced 37 defendants to life imprisonment, six to 15 years imprisonment, and seven to 10 years imprisonment, and acquitted 21 others.

In April 2021, the Supreme State Security Prosecution referred the case to the Supreme Emergency State Security Court. 

In June 2021, the court held the first hearing session of the case. Three months later the court heard the order of the defendants' referral. The Public Prosecution accused six defendants of, during July 2013, assuming leadership of a group established in contravention of the provisions of the law, the purpose of which was to call for the disruption of the provisions of the constitution and the law, including state institutions and public authorities, from carrying out their work.

In addition, they were accused of attacking the personal freedom of citizens and the public freedoms and rights guaranteed by the Constitution and the law and harming national unity and social peace.

The defendants assumed leadership and membership of the group, which aims to change the ruling system by force and attack individuals and facilities of the armed forces, the police, and public facilities, using terrorism as one of the means to achieve its goals.

They also provided the group with material aid, by supplying weapons, ammunition, and incendiary devices. 

Furthermore, they and unknown others planned a gathering whose purpose was to commit premeditated murder in implementation of a terrorist purpose and to use force, violence, and threats with public employees to unjustly force them to refrain from performing their work. 

Moreover, they intentionally destroyed public buildings and properties designated for governmental interests and public facilities in the implementation of a terrorist purpose, displaying force and threatening violence to disrupt public security and peace.

They also incited others to participate in a gathering at El-Nasr Road for the same purposes, by assigning them and agreeing with them on a plan for their given roles, and helping them by supplying them with firearms and cold weapons.
