Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced on Monday that peace talks involving Ukraine, the United Kingdom, France, and the United States will take place in London on Wednesday. The announcement followed a phone conversation between Zelensky and UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer.
“We are ready to move forward as constructively as possible, just as we have done before, to achieve an unconditional ceasefire, followed by the establishment of a real and lasting peace,” Zelensky stated on the social media platform X. He emphasized that achieving an unconditional ceasefire must be the first step in the peace process.
Zelensky also highlighted discussions with Starmer about collaborative work within European security frameworks. He underscored the importance of joint efforts to ensure security and stability in the region as part of broader international cooperation.
“Already this Wednesday, our representatives will be working in London,” Zelensky confirmed, signalling Ukraine’s commitment to advancing peace talks aimed at resolving the ongoing conflict.
